I keep seeing this one. People here have to have a knife to peel oranges, or at least to start peeling. I don't think I've ever used a knife. Just dig in your thumb at the top, and voila!
The purpose of this blog is to handle all the interesting comparisons I've made between American and German culture as I've been living in Germany. Expatriate life is fascinating. I love, love, love, love, love Germany, German, and Germans!
If you have a question about Germany that I haven't posted about, leave a comment with your website or email address and I'll contact you ASAP.

As far as peeling oranges go...I'd fit in Germany VERY well. ;)
Knife-Smife... my fingers work just fine!
Me again ;-) I do finally have time to read some of your older posts. I think that you also have to compare east/west and young/old Germans.
Knife: def. what older generations use.
Zuckertüte, Reformationsbrötchen: def. East Germany
